COURSE DETAILS:
Millions of people have learned to scuba dive and gone on to discover the wonders of the aquatic world through the PADI® Open Water Diver course, all the while experiencing the beauty of our tiny island paradise, Isla Mujeres; diving in crystal clear Caribbean water; visiting the world’s first Underwater Museum of Art MUSA and Manchones Reef.
This course is eLearning based, that means you can complete your theory study in the comfort of your home at your own pace before arriving, and then just enjoying the practical training when getting here!
If instead you decide to take the course on the very last minute, you'll have plenty of time to complete it here in two days, alternating own study and practical sessions. As the eLearning is an online program, you can complete it while enjoying our poolside, the beach or even in the comfort of your own hotel room.
The PADI Open Water Diver course is divided into three phases.
Firstly, the Knowledge Development phase is completed through e-Learning; this phase covers the basic principles of scuba diving, all of the five sections covered in the Open Water Diver course need to be completed.
Secondly, the Confined Water Dives, teach basic scuba skills. This phase includes the five standards confined water lessons split over two pool sessions.
Finally, the Open Water Dives phase allows you to apply your learned skills and explore. This phase includes four dives, during which you'll visit some of the most interesting dive sites of Isla Mujeres.

No prior experience with scuba diving is required. You will need to purchase the e-learning and pay the dive center fee to complete this course.

High-Quality Equipment & Facilities
Scuba diving equipment allows you to visit the underwater world by making it possible to breathe, see, and move comfortably while below the surface. It is important that all our equipment including our compressors are fully maintained and regularly checked for both your comfort and your safety. We want to make sure that you are fully comfortable and confident with our equipment. To help, we offer opportunities to practice in our on-site pool, or we provide refresher classes for experienced divers who haven't been in the ocean for a while.
Environmental Responsibility
At our center, we take this responsibility seriously. We are proud members of Green Finns and PADI Aware ambassadors. In addition, we collaborate with the Saving Our Sharks Foundation and run our own Ambassadors Del Mar initiative. This initiative is focused on providing children and fishermen on the island with the opportunity to learn about conservation and diving.
